Percival are excited to be working exclusively with Consumers International who are recruiting a new Interim Communications Specialist.

Consumers International is the only global membership organisation bringing together over 200 member organisations in more than 100 countries to empower and champion the rights of consumers. They work with different Members and partners across national borders to address critical, systemic global issues that impact and involve consumers.

Job Title: Communications Specialist

Salary: £32,000-£35,000

Contract Type: 2 years fixed term with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.

Location: Remote, Global

Reports to: Head of Communications and Membership

In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling content across all areas of Consumers International, such as Fair Finance, Digital Rights, Sustainable Consumption, Good Food For All, Clean Energy Futures. This will be across a broad range of communication channels including their website, social media, materials, and externally placed opinion pieces. You will also play a leadership role in developing the communications strategy for Consumers International, providing strategic oversight to the design, delivery, and evaluation of their work, as well as implementing KPIs to ensure they are delivered effectively to their audience and members.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be an exceptional writer and storyteller across different platforms and for a variety of audiences.
  • Have evidence of crafting materials that have resonated with funders and partners, ideally with demonstrable experience delivering high-profile moments for an organisation, i.e. events, research, or campaigns.
  • Ideally, you will have an understanding of the consumer rights movement and digital finance.
  • Be enthusiastic and ready to work in a fast-paced organisation who can easily grasp and communicate impact to the different audiences across their Fair Finance area of work.
