As a senior member of our Talent team, the Principal Talent Acquisition Partner will lead recruitment for our Product Design Engineering function, acting as a strategic advisor and expert in hiring top-tier technical talent. This role is critical to shaping and executing talent strategies that enable our engineering teams to design, develop, and deliver world-class consumer products.
You will collaborate closely with senior engineering leaders, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive a high-quality, data-informed, and inclusive hiring process. As a subject matter expert in technical recruitment, you will bring deep market insight, strong stakeholder management, and a sharp focus on hiring excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for roles across Product Design Engineering – including job scoping, sourcing, candidate assessment, interview management, and offer negotiation.
- Serve as a trusted talent advisor to engineering leadership, providing insights on talent market trends, role design, assessment strategy, and competitive positioning.
- Facilitate Talent Strategy Discussions (TSDs) to align hiring teams on role requirements, success profiles, and structured interview plans.
- Influence and coach hiring managers to ensure a consistent, rigorous, and inclusive recruitment process.
- Build and manage proactive pipelines of exceptional technical talent across domains such as mechanical design, CAD, simulation, prototyping, and materials engineering.
- Collaborate with People & Culture, Compensation, and Finance to ensure fair, competitive offers aligned with internal frameworks and market data.
- Maintain accurate data and process integrity in Greenhouse (ATS), and support with reporting and insights when needed.
- Contribute to broader Talent Acquisition initiatives, including DEI hiring practices, employer branding, and capability building across hiring teams.
Required Attributes & Skills:
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least 4 years focused on technical or engineering functions.
- Proven experience recruiting in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical disciplines within a high-growth or innovative environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive process adoption.
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced, high-volume, or hard-to-fill recruitment environments.
- Experience working in scaling, startup, or hardware/consumer product companies.
Preferred Attributes & Skills:
- Experience using Greenhouse or a similar applicant tracking system.
- Strong understanding of engineering competencies, technical assessment, and design/development processes.
