Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Are you looking for a chance to brighten the life of another in your spare time? A loving family in Darlington is looking for a respite provider for a woman with special needs. Experience with Alzheimer’s Disease is a plus, but most importantly, someone who possesses a big heart.

Wage: $19.31 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday Mornings, 6 am to 7 am (if you are unable to do these hours, then just doing respite on occasional weekends works too!)
  • July 18th and other dates - to be determined

Responsibilities:

  • Attending to Activities of Daily Living
    • Bathing
    • Toileting
    • Dressing
    • Grooming
    • Meal Prep
    • Medication Administration
  • Transportation to and from outings and appointments
  • Ensuring Safety and Comfort

Qualifications:

  • Age 18 or older at start of employment
  • Experience working with adults with Down’s Syndrome and Alzheimer’s is a plus
  • Willing to undergo a background check
