Key Functional Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Maintaining and upkeep of the quality manual
- Recommend quality and value engineering improvements to improve product quality performance and overall consumer value
- Support and work with suppliers and inspection companies to establish and implement appropriate product standards and specifications
- Check Pre-Shipment Reports and release/reject batches.
- Test and assess NPD products and decide on its feasibility as a potential good MR product. Write up the reports and follow-up with the factories on any improvements.
- Work with 3rd party inspection companies on inspection criteria for all NDP products.
- Arrange and follow up on compliance for all NPD products
- Arrange and follow factory audits.
- Raise and follow CAR where necessary, pre- and post- production.
- Provide technical information for consumer care and after sales support.
- Analyse samples and compile reports for consumer returns and insurance claims.
- Conduct returns capture analysis where necessary
- Support sales team with customer requests and enquiries.
Qualifications and previous work experience:
- Dynamic, professional, driven, pragmatic and influential individual
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and other QA tools
- Experience of fast-paced Far East mass manufacturing
- Knowledge and experience working with domestic electrical appliances
- Excellent analytical & diagnostic approach
- Recognised qualification in Quality Assurance, electronic and/or technical engineering as well as experience of conducting quality audits
- Be a team player, with the ability to work as part of a team and be proactive in the team\’s advancement and development
- Have good organisational and planning skills to be able to manage and prioritise workload whilst maintaining flexibility and achieving tight deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows software – Office Suite, power point, excel etc
