Commercial Finance Manager - Operations/ Manufacturing

The business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for a commercially minded finance professional to help drive profitable scale.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Commercial Finance Manager will be a key finance partner to the Operations Director, working closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Retail.
This is a highly visible role with significant ownership. You'll use financial and operational insight to improve margins, identify efficiencies, challenge assumptions and support better commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted finance partner to Operations, Supply Chain and Manufacturing
- Identify opportunities to improve margin, costs, waste, purchasing and operational efficiency
- Analyse profitability and ROI of new products, projects and capital investment
- Support Retail revenue and EBITDA growth
- Own budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across Operations, manufacturing and Retail
- Develop clear management reporting and financial insight for senior stakeholders
- Work with Data and Technology teams to automate reporting and leverage AI
- Support month-end, audit and overall financial control, with ownership of gross margin and Retail P&L
About You
- Qualified Accountant with strong in-house commercial finance experience
- Experience in FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, Operations or Supply Chain would be advantageous
- Experience in consumer businesses a MUST
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations
- Confident business partner who can challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- Hands-on, pragmatic and solutions-focused
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- High ownership mindset with the ambition to grow with the business
