I have exclusively partnered with a beautiful WW contemporary brand who are seeking a numbers driven Buying Assistant who aligns with their team’s core values. This role is essential in ensuring efficient purchasing processes and maintaining optimal stock levels to support the brand's rapid growth.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys identifying and solving challenges, and has experience managing stock across multiple suppliers and locations. The role requires someone to wear many hats and get involved in every part of the B&M journey! The brand is going through a huge period of growth, so it’s an amazing time to join this ever-growing business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Buying Director in ensuring purchase orders (POs) are raised and placed on time.
  • Manage and track POs to ensure timely delivery, keeping the team informed of any changes to production and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor stock levels and collaborate with suppliers to prioritize key styles when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate PO records and ensure the ERP system reflects the latest information.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance to maintain efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee supplier capacity planning, ensuring they have up-to-date demand forecasts.
  • Compile and present weekly reports on stock levels, sales performance, and order statuses.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making for the Buying and Operations Director.
  • Manage stock allocation across all channels (e-commerce, wholesale, retail) to optimize inventory levels.
  • Coordinate stock transfers between locations as needed.
  • Track stock movements to ensure accuracy within inventory management systems.
  • Act as a key communication link between the Operations, Finance, E-commerce, and Product teams.
  • Work closely with the E-commerce Director to align product availability with online demand.
  • Support the Product and Marketing teams in aligning re-stocks and launch dates.
  • Assist in conducting market research to identify emerging trends and product positioning opportunities.
  • Support pricing research and discussions to ensure competitive positioning.

You will have proven experience in a buying, allocation, or merchandising role. Excel is your second language – you’re highly proficient in data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with inventory management systems and their role in stock control. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to organize, interpret data, and provide actionable insights.

This role is working hybrid in their London office: Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. My role is paying a very competitive salary + AMAZING benefits!
