Associate Director @ Consumer Additions | Talent Acquisition, Fashion, Retail, Beauty & Lifestyle

We are looking for a commercially aware and highly organised Assistant Buyer to join our Buying team. Working across multi-category product ranges, you will support the buying process from initial concept through to product launch. This role is perfect for someone with prior buying or product development experience who is ready to take the next step in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where accuracy, organisation, and a proactive approach are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Buyer in creating seasonal product ranges aligned to brand strategy and sales targets.
  • Assist with option counts, category mix, and pricing architecture.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities, working directly with factories on product development.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm cost prices, lead times, and order details.
  • Support negotiations to ensure products meet quality, margin, and delivery requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Manage the buying critical path to ensure all key dates are achieved.
  • Raise purchase orders, update systems, and track progress through to delivery.
  • Coordinate product approvals, fit sessions, and sample management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure ranges are cohesive, accurate, and launch-ready.
  • Provide product information to Wholesale, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to support campaign launches.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as aSenior Buyer’s Admin Assistant or Assistant Buyer in fashion, accessories, or home/lifestyle products.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with effective negotiation skills.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of sales and margin targets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Genuine interest in fashion, product, and trend.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.

5 days per week during probation, with hybrid working available thereafter.
