Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our clinical teams across London. You will work on the front lines of patient care, providing essential physical and emotional support to individuals in hospitals, clinics, or nursing homes. Your role is vital in ensuring patients feel comfortable, respected, and well‑cared for during their treatment or residency.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assisting patients with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting.
- Clinical Support: Taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Nutrition & Hydration: Helping patients with meals and ensuring they maintain adequate fluid intake, documenting levels where necessary.
- Mobility Assistance: Supporting patients with moving around wards or facilities using specialist equipment like hoists and slide sheets.
- Patient Comfort: Monitoring patient wellbeing, providing companionship, and reporting any changes in physical or mental health to the nursing team.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with GDPR and healthcare regulations.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in a care or healthcare setting is preferred, but we welcome applicants with a strong desire to learn.
- Certification: Possession of the Care Certificate is highly desirable. If you do not have it, you will need to be placed for training.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to show empathy and patience to patients and their families.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, nights, and weekends.
