The of a role of an Energy Consultant revolves around stimulating business development through 360 prospecting new customers and managing your own existing clientele. 18 months of experience in business-to-business sales within the utilities industry is desirable, although not exclusive.
A high degree of competence in communication, persuasion, and objective handling is crucial.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
- Conduct cold calls to potential customers, prospecting for new business opportunities
- Showcase ability to up-sell and cross-sell products and services featured in our catalogue
- Collate market and customer information gained from customer interest to generate sales opportunities
- Secure Bills and Letters of Authority (LOA) from customers
- Adaptively handle objections, converting them into potential opportunities
- Confidently and successfully convert leads generated
- Ensure customers’ information gathered is both accurate and compliant
- Present the business professionally at all times
- Respond to email and phone inquiries professionally and promptly
- Proactively seek sales opportunities in order to meet and exceed sales revenue targets and KPIs
- Manage client accounts effectively
- Persistently build and maintain a customer pipeline
- Attend required training sessions
- Promote and adhere to the company’s core values and mission statement.
