Consulting Point is representing the Business Technology practice of a premier global management consultancy. This team is a leader in CIO and CTO advisory, working collaboratively with FTSE 100 and central government clients to leverage technology as a primary driver of sustainable growth. The IT Strategy & Performance team is currently the fastest-growing area within the practice, providing a high-impact environment for consultants who want to shape the digital agenda of major organisations.
We are seeking Consultant-level professionals who possess a strong foundation in the strategic and financial pillars of IT. This role requires a multi-disciplinary approach, spanning digital strategy, Target Operating Model (TOM) design, and transformation roadmapping. You will be expected to manage the commercial complexities of IT, including IT financial management, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, and application portfolio rationalisation. Furthermore, the team plays a critical role in inorganic growth strategies, delivering technology due diligence and post-merger integration support for large-scale M&A activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver distinct work packages within complex technology engagements for high-profile clients.
- Identify the real-world application of emerging technologies, such as AI, Advanced Analytics, and Cloud-native architectures, to drive investment value.
- Contribute to the development of new market offerings and informed points of view on digital capabilities.
- Support the commercial growth of the practice by contributing to proposals, RFP responses, and client pitch materials.
- Build personal credibility with stakeholders through outcomes-based delivery and structured communication.
- Engage in continuous learning to broaden expertise across the strategic, financial, and M&A disciplines of the practice.
Required Experience & Skills
- Consulting Pedigree: Experience within a management consulting firm or an internal strategy function is essential.
- Technical Strategy: A proven track record of delivering within Digital Strategy, IT Transformation, or Technology Cost Transformation projects.
- Structured Thinking: Expertise in analytical frameworks such as Business-IT alignment, TCO analysis, or Operating Model design.
- Commercial Awareness: Ability to support business development through the preparation of high-quality proposals and sales materials.
- Matrix Delivery: Ability to navigate and succeed within complex, matrixed organisations.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain or maintain SC Clearance is required for public sector workstreams.
