We are looking for GenAI and Agentic Engineers to join a leading global business and technology transformation consultancy within its Data Science and AI practice. This role focuses on the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of intelligent systems that combine Generative AI models, agentic frameworks, and full-stack engineering. You will work at the intersection of strategy and technology, helping clients move beyond rapid prototyping to scale production-grade AI products that solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy both front-end and back-end components for AI-powered applications, with a focus on GenAI and agentic solutions.
  • Architect agentic workflows incorporating Human-in-the-loop (HITL) gates, auditability, policy controls, and robust evaluation frameworks for regulated environments.
  • Translate business requirements into technical AI architectures, leveraging data science and analytics to deliver high-standard client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, data scientists, and product managers to transition early-stage PoCs into scalable MVPs and production systems.
  • Support business development activity by building AI demonstrators for client showcases and contributing technical expertise to proposals and RFPs.
  • Contribute to internal practice development through the creation of whitepapers, campaign development, and the refinement of AI service offerings.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the engineering team to maintain high delivery standards and pace.

Requirements

  • Experience operating within a major consulting firm or a high-growth industry environment with a consulting mindset.
  • Proven track record of delivering full-stack applications across the entire lifecycle, from PoC to secure, production-grade solutions.
  • Technical proficiency in Python (3.10+), TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Experience with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask) and modern frontend stacks (React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS).
  • Proficiency in cloud environments, specifically Azure (OpenAI, AKS) or GCP (Vertex AI), including experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical client sponsors.
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance (requires 5 years of continuous UK residency).

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with Agentic frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, Autogen, or OpenAI Agents.
  • Familiarity with RAG pipelines, MCP, and LLM evaluation tools like LangSmith or TruLens.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including Clean Code (SOLID), TDD, and modular architecture.
  • Experience building AI-specific UX patterns, such as streaming, provenance citations, and error-recovery loops.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a specialist AI and Data Science team within a global transformation partner. You will work on high-impact projects across both public and private sectors, moving technology from experimental stages into the real world. The role offers the freedom to explore the latest models and frameworks, supported by a culture that values ethical technology and innovation. The organisation provides a clear path for professional growth, a flexible hybrid working model, and the opportunity to shape the future of agentic AI within a Tier-1 consultancy environment.
