The Opportunity

Consulting Point is seeking an experienced HR Operating Model Specialist to join the Employee Experience & HR practice of a leading global management consultancy. This role is focused on leading and shaping complex, large-scale HR transformation programmes, translating high-level operating model ambitions into actionable, enterprise-wide change for FTSE 100 and major public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve modern, future‑ready HR Operating Models that align with client organisational strategies and enhance employee experience.
  • Lead diagnostic assessments and organisational design activities, utilizing data‑led approaches to inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Review and optimise end‑to‑end HR processes, identifying opportunities to improve service quality, governance, and cross‑functional alignment.
  • Partner with HR, Digital, Finance, and Operational leaders to drive coherence across roles, capabilities, and technical ecosystems.
  • Support the adoption of new ways of working, embedding continuous improvement and operational excellence within client organisations.
  • Contribute to practice growth through Business Development activities, including leading proposals, RFP responses, and the development of new market‑facing propositions.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Consulting Mandate: Recent and substantial experience within a major management consultancy is essential. Applicants must demonstrate a track record of delivering HR transformation and operating model design as an external advisor.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven ability to design future‑state structures, processes, and governance frameworks within complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Analytical Capability: Skilled in data‑led analysis and evidence‑based problem solving, with the ability to translate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Confident in engaging C‑suite and senior leadership, facilitating high‑stakes workshops, and building alignment across diverse functional teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Experience in contributing to bids, whitepapers, and the development of consulting IP.
