A leading global management and technology transformation consultancy is expanding its Data & AI Strategy practice. The business is currently seeking a Manager and Senior Manager to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of modern, enterprise-grade data platforms. This position operates at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise architecture, and technical delivery, helping clients build and scale AI capabilities from strategy through to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Design: Lead the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platforms to power both operational and analytical workloads using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Cloud Transformation: Implement modern hybrid data architectures (such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery) and direct the migration of legacy systems to cloud-native solutions.
  • AI Innovation: Develop Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products for advanced analytics and AI platforms to align with client strategic objectives.
  • Automation & DevOps: Build and streamline data pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and deployments using DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Enterprise Advisory: Shape the vision for enterprise data platforms, developing architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and communication plans for senior stakeholders.
  • Business & Practice Development: Contribute to proposals, bids, and proposition development, whilst supporting internal campaigns, training, and recruitment.

Required Profile and Experience

  • Consulting Background: A minimum of 6 years of experience in data technologies and architecture, with a proven track record in professional services or management consulting.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: A minimum of 6 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Technical Certifications: Possession of at least three intermediate-level cloud certifications.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform, ARM Templates, or Google Deployment Manager, alongside experience with network security and identity management for AI use cases.
  • Modern Data Patterns: Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and modern architecture patterns, including Data Mesh and Data Fabric.
  • Advisory & Commercial Acumen: Experience in project scoping, budgeting, and managing complex senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Security Clearance: Active SC clearance, or eligibility for UK security clearance, is mandatory.
  • Sector Focus (Desirable): Experience within the UK Public Sector, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Retail, Telecoms, or Transport.
