Director – Transaction & Transformation Advisory (Energy & Infrastructure)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing advisory practice as a Director within the Energy & Infrastructure sector, focusing on high-impact transaction and transformation engagements. You will lead strategic advisory work with senior stakeholders across public and private sectors, helping clients navigate investment, operational transformation, and energy transition challenges with confidence.
The Role
As a Director, you will shape and deliver large-scale engagements at the intersection of infrastructure investment, energy transition, and transaction support. Your work will span strategic planning, commercial due diligence, capital programme advisory, and transformational delivery—working closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, ESG, and digital disciplines.
You will:
- Lead client engagements advising on growth strategies, decarbonisation initiatives, and readiness for infrastructure investments.
- Drive projects across areas such as carbon capture, supply chain advisory, operating model design, and programme management.
- Provide insight into industry shifts, using commercial and technical data to support M&A activity, capital investments, and long-term value creation.
- Drive Business Development by identifying and winning new opportunities, shaping proposals, and securing advisory work through strong client relationships and market insights.
- Build long-term relationships with senior clients, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
- Mentor consulting teams and contribute to internal capability building and go-to-market strategy.
Your Background
- Extensive experience within a consulting firm, with a focus on strategy, operations, or transaction services.
- Deep domain expertise in Energy, Infrastructure, or Utilities with proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with a background in due diligence, investment analysis, or transformation delivery.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders and C-suite clients.
- A collaborative leadership style, with a passion for developing people and contributing to practice growth.
- Degree in business, engineering, economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
