The Opportunity
Consulting Point is representing the Digital design practice of a premier global management consultancy. This team is scaling its capability in the design and delivery of user-centred digital services, with a specific focus on mission-critical programmes within the UK Government. We are seeking Digital Business Analysts who can operate at the intersection of critical thinking, technical architecture, and user-centred design.
The Mandate: UK Public Sector Excellence
A primary requirement for this role is a proven track record within Management Consulting, specifically focused on the UK Public Sector. You will act as the pivotal link between complex business requirements and user needs, navigating the transition between legacy environments and agile, cloud-native delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within multi-disciplinary Agile Scrum teams to translate user research and business evidence into delivery-ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Advise central government and private sector clients on the application of new digital technologies and platforms to drive real-world value.
- Lead end-to-end user-centred design projects, bridging the gap between design, product, development, and testing.
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships, influencing policy leads and technical teams to maintain momentum during delivery.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support the Scrum team in achieving high-impact delivery goals.
- Contribute to technical business analysis by evaluating architectural concepts, including APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
Required Experience & Skills
- Consulting Pedigree: Current or recent experience within a management consulting firm is essential. You must be comfortable delivering external advisory services in high-pressure environments.
- Public Sector Expertise: Substantial experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards is a core requirement.
- Agile Proficiency: Proven experience in a multi-disciplinary Agile environment, with expert knowledge of JIRA and requirements capturing methodologies.
- User-Centred Design (UCD): A strong understanding of how to translate user needs into technical specifications without losing design intent.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with modern architectural patterns (APIs, Microservices, Cloud) to ensure credible communication with engineering teams.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain or maintain SC Clearance is mandatory for government workstreams.
