We are looking for Cloud FinOps / Cloud Cost Optimisation Consultants to join a leading digital transformation consultancy within its Cloud Advisory practice. This role focuses on Cloud Economics, FinOps, and Value Realisation, helping clients optimise cloud spend, improve financial accountability, and maximise value from cloud investments across their transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse cloud usage and expenditure to identify cost optimisation opportunities and reduce waste
- Design and implement FinOps operating models, including governance frameworks, controls, and cost management guardrails
- Produce financial reporting, forecasting, and cloud spend analysis for senior stakeholders
- Support embedding of cost accountability across engineering, product, and business teams
- Deliver FinOps training and enablement to drive best practice and cost awareness
- Engage with cloud vendors to support cost optimisation initiatives
- Contribute to the development of cloud economics strategies across client engagements
Requirements
- Experience in Cloud FinOps, Cloud Economics, Cloud Cost Management, or Cloud Advisory roles
- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP billing and cost models
- Ability to analyse large-scale cloud spend data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Experience producing financial reporting, forecasting, or cost modelling in cloud/technology environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior client engagement
- Experience working in consulting or agile delivery environments
- Strong communication skills with ability to simplify complex technical and financial concepts
Desirable Experience
- FinOps Foundation certification or equivalent cloud financial management training
- Experience with chargeback/showback models, tagging strategies, or unit economics
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or cloud engineering (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes)
- Experience in multi-cloud environments
- Familiarity with FinOps tooling and automation platforms (e.g. Apptio, CloudHealth)
