ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a well-established civil company in Wellsford/Hamilton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in civil and water infrastructure projects, assisting with project delivery, team coordination, and commissioning of water/wastewater treatment works.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee project delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality standards.
- Assist in managing the final stages of mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works on a WWTW project.
- Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Track project costs, review subcontractor claims, and manage valuations.
- Ensure compliance with QA, safety, and environmental standards.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support a collaborative and safe team environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in water, wastewater, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and QA/QC procedures.
- Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Solutions-focused mindset with ambition to take on increased responsibility.
