Operations and Improvement Consultant – Consultant / Senior Consultant

Role Overview

We are actively hiring to build improvement capability and operations excellence within our Financial Services practice, specifically focusing on Banking, Wealth and Asset Management clients.

Responsibilities

  • Hybrid working: minimum 2 days per week in office or on client site, up to 5 days on site.
  • Deliver operational effectiveness and efficiency using Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
  • Lead process optimisation, service design, change and implementation management projects.
  • Develop and deliver training.
  • Facilitate workshops, provide evidence‑based insights and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Work independently, building strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels.

Qualifications

  • Core experience delivering operational improvement across front, middle and back office service areas.
  • Proven experience leading assignment workstreams, assignments and teams.
  • Experience delivering similar projects preferably within the Financial Services sector.
  • A track record of realising business benefits and outcomes.
  • Experience deploying advanced techniques such as digital technologies, cost improvement and change management.
  • Leadership skills in large and diverse project teams.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate challenging discussions.
  • Aptitude for delivering creative and innovative solutions.

The Ideal Candidate Will Also Have

  • Interest in developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team‑working skills with a natural team‑integrator mindset.
  • Drive for personal and professional progression.
  • Prior consulting experience with a large consultancy firm or internal consultancy function highly desirable.
  • Lean Green or Black Belt certification desirable.
