Your Role
Our Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) Capability Unit is the home of our experts in data and AI strategy, innovation, transformation, and insights; supporting clients in using advanced data, analytics, and AI solutions to solve complex business problems. This is a high‑profile role within Capgemini Invent, contributing to leadership both across the EDA capability unit and within our client engagements. As a Director in our team, you will help government organisations understand, prioritise, and safely adopt AI to improve citizen outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and support policy delivery. You will act as a senior advisor to public sector leaders, shaping strategic AI opportunities and guiding the responsible deployment of AI capabilities across departments and agencies.

- Ensuring safe, ethical, and responsible AI adoption while guiding public sector organisations through AI‑enabled service redesign, capability uplift, and sustainable transformation.
- Building long‑lasting senior client relationships in the public sector and creating a sustainable business‑development pipeline.
- Selling, leading, and managing large programmes with data strategy and AI transformation at their core.
- Working as part of the Capgemini Invent EDA leadership team and our Public Sector team to grow our AI capability and develop sector‑specific offerings.
- Creating thought leadership and new propositions that reflect Capgemini Invent’s position as a leading AI, data, and analytics consultancy.
- Managing performance and growing teams of data and AI consultants, supporting individual career development, guiding L&D priorities, and driving recruitment.
Role
- Business Development – Leading and contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches, and client hosting at events.
- Internal Contribution – Supporting campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events and activities), and offering development.
- Learning & Development – Undertaking training to support your career development and meet evolving skills demands within the company, including certification opportunities.
Your Profile
You will already be a leader within AI consulting and ready to take your career to the next level. You will have experience operating at a similar level, leading data and AI teams within a large consultancy, and you will have established relationships at senior levels across the Public Sector.
Specifically, You Will Bring
- Strong existing relationships with senior clients, focused on areas responsible for data and AI in the Public Sector.
- Experience defining data strategies and shaping AI services and solutions that deliver a client’s vision, integrated across technology and business functions.
- A deep understanding of trends in AI and how these trends are impacting our clients.
You Will Also Require
- Strong management consulting experience with proven success across data and AI.
- A proven track record in new business development and account management across the full sales lifecycle; you will carry a personal sales target of approximately £2m per annum in consulting business.
- Proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
- Credibility and personal impact — you will be respected by both colleagues and clients.
- A versatile and collaborative style; empathetic in approach, confident in content, and focused on outcomes at all levels of the client organisation.
