You will lead in the development and execution of the latest strategic thinking and have a thirst for insight and problem solving. You will work with CX-level clients across many sectors to develop and implement strategies to create value and transform their organisations. We are looking for consultants with proven experience in the private sector at mid-senior level, ideally within a top-tier strategy consultancy or a major industrial company (energy, transportation, manufacturing) to deliver structured, analytical strategy and transformation strategy engagements. This role requires strong consulting skills combined with deep expertise in energy transition and utilities (Water, Electricity, Gas).
Essential Attributes And Experience:
- Energy & Utilities Expertise: Expertise in energy transition, decarbonisation strategies, and transport technology innovation. Exposure to project work with OEMs, emerging technology clients, investors, and C-suite stakeholders, with a strong understanding of industry dynamics and strategic imperatives. Knowledge of energy transition pathways, decarbonisation strategies, and transport technologies, including their role in achieving macroeconomic and sustainability objectives.
- Strategic and Analytical Skills: Ability to apply hypothesis-led, structured approaches to complex industry challenges, including issue tree development, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and synthesis of actionable recommendations. Skilled in developing market models and integrated three-statement financial models to size opportunities, analyse scenarios, and inform data-driven strategic decisions.
- Academic Background: Degree in mathematics, economics, science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Personal Attributes: Insightful and creative, with integrity, drive, interpersonal skills, and a genuine affinity for problem solving. Open-minded and committed to inclusion and diversity of thought and background. Able to work independently as the day-to-day client point of contact on assignments.
Our roles often involve on-site working at client locations and often require regular travel to various client sites. In-office working is further required and encouraged to support team development and integration with our wider growth strategy team and sector specialists.
