Our successful Energy and Utilities practice is looking for skilled experts to lead teams delivering for our current client base and to develop new opportunities as part of our ambitious growth strategy.
What we’re looking for
As a part of the team, you will assist in creating and pursuing business opportunities for new and existing clients through your own and PA’s wide network of clients.
We excel at bridging the gap between regulatory, engineering, digital and customer languages so you will add new insights to our diverse mix.
We work very closely with all our clients, build strong interpersonal relationships, and pride ourselves on our ability to ‘walk the talk’.
Therefore, we are particularly interested in those who have practical ‘hands on’ experience with energy infrastructure assets and interest in:
- Energy infrastructure planning (transmission and/or distribution) in a rapidly evolving landscape.
- The operation of energy networks in delivering consumer, regulator and shareholder priorities.
- The production of asset strategies, policies, plans and standards, and an understanding of how these influence/impact business outcomes.
- Key attributes and leadership

Our consultants should be able to turn highly technical detail into simple concepts and communicate clearly to anyone from boardroom to factory floor.

- Track record of selling and delivering professional consulting services, including building and expanding client relationships across senior stakeholder groups.
• Technical understanding of one or more of the following areas
- Electricity or gas network asset planning or operation (transmission and/or distribution).
- The evolving energy landscape including National Energy System Operation (NESO), Distribution System Operation (DSO), Net Zero drivers and regulatory incentives.
- Innovation in technology and/or process.
- Asset strategy and linkages to holistic decision‑making.
- Programme delivery (high volume activities or major projects).
- Asset health, utilisation, risk and resilience.
- Demonstrated ability to translate client challenges into structured requirements from identification of need through to execution, adoption and benefits realisation.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in fast‑paced and complex environments, with a strong focus on delivery assurance, governance and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to steer senior‑level client conversations and drive consensus.
- Passion about the opportunities and challenges in the energy sector; delivery oriented and at best when part of a team with high focus on results, you can help clients solve challenging strategic issues.
- A drive to be abreast of professional development and knowledge of current and emerging market trends and technical solutions.
