Your Role
As a Consulting Director within the Finance & Enterprise Value Practice, you will lead one of the two Finance & CFO Advisory work areas:
- Strategic Finance Delivery
- Finance Transformations
As a tribe leader, you will own the end‑to‑end vision and execution within your domain, including:
- Practice Development: Define and evolve offerings, playbooks, and toolkits to drive innovation, strengthen our market position and thought leadership.
- Delivery Excellence & Operations: Ensure high‑quality delivery across engagements by embedding best practices and ensuring the achievement of operational business performance objectives.
- People: Build and develop a high‑performing team, driving skills growth, coaching, and consultant career progression.
- Wider Leadership: Contribute to the leadership of the Enterprise Model & Strategy Team and collaborate across Capgemini to deliver integrated solutions and client outcomes.
As part of your role, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development: Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal Contribution: Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & Development: Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile
As a Consulting Director, you will possess experience of the following:
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience of working directly with C‑level executives in a consulting context and experience across at least two target industries (Public Sector, Energy Transition & Utilities, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Automotive & Life Sciences, or Technology, Media, Telecoms & Services).
- For Strategic Finance: Proven experience designing actionable finance strategy, finance target operating models and performance architectures that link strategy to measurable outcomes.
- For Finance Operations & Performance: Expert knowledge of performance improvement techniques and the finance value chain, with mastery of at least two core processes (O2C, P2P, R2R, FP&A, T2F, Treasury) and experience shaping and leading cost performance programmes.
- Business Development: Experience of proposition building, delivery. Ability to utilise a combination of the organisation’s broader pre‑existing relationships, company relationships and your own network to generate c.£2m of consulting revenues (Director).
- Consulting Experience: Currently working in a major consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a substantial consulting background. Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions to deliver measurable outcomes for CFOs and senior finance leaders.
- Leadership & People Development: Track record of building and developing high‑performing teams, coaching talent, and fostering a culture of growth and inclusion.
- Professional Qualification: Fully qualified UK Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with strong technical grounding and ability to formulate strategy and translate into actionable solutions.

About Our Team: Finance & Enterprise Value (F&EV) is the finance strategy & transformation advisory practice within Enterprise Model & Strategy (EM&S), part of the Corporate Experience capability unit at Capgemini Invent. We help CFOs and senior leaders identify, convert, and sustain value across the finance function.
Our Practice Comprises Three Work Areas:
- Value Strategy & Modelling (VSM): Business case development, value realisation planning and shaping of outcome‑based commercial structures for major client decisions and deals.
- Strategic Finance Delivery: Connects strategy to performance by building integrated planning, forecasting, cost management, and finance delivery capabilities that strengthen decision‑making and operational efficiency.
- Finance Transformation: Modernises finance functions through intelligent process redesign, future‑ready operating models, and integration/separation support to create scalable, digital, insight‑driven finance operations.
