Your Role
As a Cloud Strategy Consultant or Senior Consultant at Capgemini Invent, you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the wider Business Technology capability unit. Our cloud advisory capability aims to inspire, lead and support organisations on their journey of adopting cloud for creating business and revenue models, generating growth, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing their carbon footprint. Cloud is a key enabler for every business strategy from new business models to strategic risk management. A cloud strategy is no longer just an infrastructure strategy, but also includes business, application, data, security, integration and platform strategy. As a cloud strategy consultant, you will combine your understanding of our client’s businesses and our thought leadership in the industry to create cloud strategies that will enable future‑ready enterprises. You will deliver business‑focused cloud strategies that enable the adoption, acceleration and innovation on the cloud for our clients.
You will be required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design and implement new business and operating models. You’ll bring an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations.
Role
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in shaping and delivering cloud adoption strategies and transformation roadmaps that align with client business objectives.
- Demonstrated success in leading cloud transformation initiatives, guiding clients through migration journeys with a focus on business value and operational impact.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable cloud strategies across specific technology and industry domains.
- Understanding of cloud transformation pitfalls, with the ability to proactively mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes.
- Familiarity with industry‑specific cloud solutions from AWS, Azure, or GCP, and how they enable innovation within specific sectors.
- Strategic insight into how cloud enables enterprise transformation, including data & analytics modernisation, enhanced customer experiences, and agile operating models.
- Knowledge of cloud operating models across public, private, hybrid, and multi‑cloud environments, and their implications for governance and scalability.
- Awareness of cloud security frameworks, DevSecOps principles, and operational best practices to ensure secure and resilient cloud ecosystems.
- Proven ability to succeed in either consulting or industry environments, with a strong track record of collaborating across matrixed teams and influencing stakeholders to deliver strategic, high‑impact cloud solutions.
Key Expectations From This Role Include
- As a Consultant: lead a stream of work and produce high quality deliverables, providing key input to shape the strategic direction and support the design of propositions.
- As a Senior Consultant: design and lead projects / multiple streams taking ownership for elements of the proposition.
