Your Role
As a Cloud Economics/FinOps Consultant at Capgemini Invent you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the wider Business Technology capability unit. Our Cloud Advisory capability aims to inspire, lead and support organisations on their journey of adopting cloud for creating business and revenue models, generating growth, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing their carbon footprint. The Cloud Economics function covers Cloud Business Case, FinOps and Cloud Value Realisation. You will focus on advising our clients on processes and solutions that will help ensure that they are gaining the greatest value from their cloud solutions at all stages of the cloud adoption journey. You will be required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design and implement new cloud economics models. You’ll bring an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations.
Responsibilities
- Cost Optimisation Analysis: Review and analyse cloud usage patterns to identify cost saving opportunities. Guide cloud users on methods to optimise cloud usage, establish and enforce budget-aligned policies for financial accountability.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed financial reports including forecasting and present these to senior client management and application teams to highlight cloud spend and trajectory to provide visibility into cloud spending.
- Policy and Governance: Establish cloud governance policies, guardrails and best practice to assure cost control.
- Training and Enablement: Provide training on FinOps best practices and establish mechanisms to promote a culture of accountability and cost awareness.
- Vendor Engagement: Engage and manage relationships with cloud vendors.
