Join our Group Finance Team to play a key role during a busy period, with a focus on group reporting, statutory accounts, consolidation and technical accounting matters, including the application of IFRS. This is a hands‑on role for a capable qualified accountant who can bring strong technical expertise, sound judgement and a practical approach to delivery.
The role includes:
- Contributing to the monthly group consolidation, including raising consolidation journals, reviewing consolidated numbers, supporting month‑end activities, preparing statutory financial statements, variance analysis and commentary, reconciliations, and technical accounting analysis.
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables, seeing them through accurately and identifying opportunities for involvement in integration initiatives.
- Providing clear and timely information to internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and advisors, and engaging thoughtfully with audit requests.
- Supporting technical accounting matters across the finance function and contributing to notes and support for the group annual report.
- Building an understanding of our finance systems, reporting processes and statutory accounts timetable.
- Working across a range of finance priorities as needed, bringing a flexible approach while maintaining high standards of accuracy and control.
Hybrid working – our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week. However, the actual time you spend and where you spend it will vary by role or assignment.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant – ACA / CA / ACCA
- Strong technical accounting skills, including IFRS, and the ability to research and apply accounting guidance where needed
- Experience in group reporting, consolidation, month‑end, audit support, and statutory accounts in a corporate or practice environment
- Able to quickly build understanding of finance systems, processes, and team ways of working
- Commitment to excellent financial control
- Experience working with auditors or supporting audit processes would be beneficial
- A proactive, highly organised self‑starter with the ability to prioritise and deliver to strict deadlines
- Tenacious with great attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible, collaborative and willing to support across any area of the team as priorities change
