Van Technician / Light Vehicle Technician

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Technician / Light Vehicle Technician to join our team in the Yate area.
The successful candidate will primarily be working on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and minibuses, carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician looking to develop their experience within the PSV and passenger transport sector, with full hands-on training available.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and minibuses.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults.
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Carry out vehicle safety checks and ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard.
- Develop hands-on experience working on PSV vehicles.
- Work efficiently and safely in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Working Hours
Monday to Friday, with either of the following working patterns
- 7:00am – 5:00pm, including a 1-hour unpaid break; or
- 6:00am – 4:00pm, including a 1-hour unpaid break.
No weekend working.
Training & Career Development
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and progress within the PSV sector.
You will receive hands-on training working on PSV vehicles, with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and experience beyond light vehicle work.
There will also be the opportunity to work towards gaining your PSV licence, providing a clear pathway for career progression.
About You
The ideal candidate will have
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Light Vehicle Technician, Van Technician, HGV Technician or similar.
- Experience working on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans is desirable.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
- A reliable and professional attitude.
- A willingness to learn and develop within the PSV sector.
Previous PSV experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
