A leading independent bus and coach operator in the South West is looking for a qualified and experienced PSV/HGV Mechanic to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern and diverse fleet of buses and coaches within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on buses and HGVs
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs to DVSA standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs, carry out inspections, and rectify defects
- Maintain accurate service records and parts documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (preferred)
- Proven experience as a PSV or HGV mechanic
- Category D driving licence advantageous (or willingness to train)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
