A leading fire and security provider is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to support two major healthcare sites in South London. This is a semi-static position working on 2 hospital sites. This role offers long-term stability working on critical infrastructure where system reliability and compliance are essential.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the maintenance, testing, and fault diagnosis of fire alarm systems across the hospital estate, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Key duties include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of fire alarm systems and associated equipment
- Assisting with weekly fire alarm testing on site
- Fault finding, reactive maintenance and system repairs
- Working on Gent, Drax Technology and Advanced Electronic systems
- Ensuring compliance with BS5839 and other relevant fire safety standards
- Maintaining accurate service records and compliance documentation
- Supporting minor system upgrades, modifications and small works
- Working closely with estates teams and other contractors within a live healthcare environment
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer
- Strong knowledge of BS5839 standards
- Experience servicing Gent fire alarm systems
- Gent Winmag experience desirable
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work professionally within critical environments such as hospitals or large estates
