A well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Southampton is currently recruiting two experienced HGV Mechanics / Fitters to join their busy and professional team.
The Role
This is a workshop-based position working primarily on HGVs, with occasional LCV work.
Responsibilities include:
- Safety inspections and routine servicing
- MOT preparation
- Brake testing
- Welding and fabrication
- General mechanical repairs and fault finding
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
- Experience with rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers
- HGV Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Clean UK driving licence
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
Desirable (but not essential)
- HGV Class 1 licence
- Driver CPC
