We are currently recruiting for a Security Installation Engineer to join a well-established and growing business within the electronic security sector. The Role:

This position will involve the installation of electronic security systems to a high standard, including additions, modifications and upgrades to existing systems. The successful engineer will work across Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong technical standards.

Duties will include carrying out installations, reading and interpreting building plans and CAD drawings, working closely with customers to meet specifications, and completing all associated documentation including site drawings and schematics. The role will involve working independently and as part of a team across a defined geographical area, with occasional travel and overnight work when required.

Engineers will be expected to communicate effectively with customers, management and support teams while maintaining a professional and tidy approach at all times. Strong planning, organisation and adherence to health and safety procedures are essential.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the electronic security industry
  • Strong knowledge of Intruder Alarms, Access Control and CCTV systems
  • Experience with both analogue and IP CCTV systems
  • Good understanding of alarm signalling systems such as Emizon, Dual-Com and Webway
  • Knowledge of NSI standards
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work to deadlines alongside other contractors on site
  • Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends when required
  • Full UK driving licence required
