We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Trunk Driver to join our client's operation in Newhaven.

The Role

This is a regular Monday to Friday night trunking role, operating between Newhaven and Burton upon Trent. Your typical duties will include:

  • Starting at the Newhaven depot
  • Driving to Burton upon Trent
  • Unloading a double-decker trailer
  • Loading the vehicle
  • Returning back to Newhaven
  • Completing all relevant vehicle and paperwork checks
  • Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Maximum 6 points on your licence
  • 12 months' minimum C+E experience preferred, although candidates with less experience may be considered
  • Good knowledge of drivers' hours and working time regulations
  • Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
  • Comfortable working regular night shifts
