A leading UK haulage company is seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join its busy workshop in Market Harborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established business known for its professionalism, reliability, and excellent working conditions.
What’s on Offer:
- £19.00 per hour (up to 40 hours)
- £23.75 per hour for overtime (41+ hours) and Saturdays
- Company van provided for work and personal use (Benefit in Kind, P11D issued annually)
- Holiday Entitlement: 28 days including statutory holidays, accrued monthly (2.33 days/month)
Working Hours:
- Standard: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 (40 hours/week with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
- Rotating Shift: A 3–4 weekly rotation of 10:00 – 19:00 shifts and occasional Saturdays may apply, based on workshop requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, repair and diagnostics of HGVs to DVSA standards
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, and safety checks
- Ensuring accurate completion of job cards and reports
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
- Recognised technical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent preferred)
- Good understanding of commercial vehicle systems and diagnostics
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
