A well-established and growing Fire & Security business is looking to recruit a Junior Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with around three years of industry experience who is looking to develop their technical skills while working on a variety of high-quality commercial projects across West and North West London.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain exposure to the installation and commissioning of industry-leading fire and security systems, with ongoing training and clear opportunities for career progression.
The successful candidate will carry out the installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems across commercial sites. You will assist with project installations, system upgrades and commissioning support while ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with current industry regulations. The role also involves completing installation documentation and maintaining excellent customer relationships on site.
Applicants should have approximately three years' experience within the Fire & Security industry, with hands-on installation experience across fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems. A good understanding of commercial installation practices is essential, along with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to continue learning. A full UK driving licence is required.
Basic salary of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience. Monday to Friday working hours with flexibility around start and finish times. Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours, with double time available on selected overtime. 1 in 5 call-out rota with standby payments of £25 per weekday, £50 per weekend day and £100 per Bank Holiday. Company vehicle provided with fuel card and reasonable personal use permitted. 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. Company pension scheme. Ongoing manufacturer training and industry-recognised qualifications, including FIA training. Experience with any of the following systems would be advantageous, although further training will be provided: Fire alarm systems, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy, Hikvision, Kentec.
