Job Description HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Trunk Driver Wanted! \Newhaven, East Sussex, BN9 0AB Pay: £13.46 per hour Hours: Approximately 60 hours per week Shift: Monday to Friday, 18:30 - 06:30 Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent Permanent Salary: £42,000 per year. \n We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Trunk Driver to join our client's operation in Newhaven. The Role\n This is a regular Monday to Friday night trunking role, operating between Newhaven and Burton upon Trent . \n \n \n Starting at the Newhaven depot \n \n Driving to Burton upon Trent \n \n Unloading a double-decker trailer \n \n Loading the vehicle \n \n Returning back to Newhaven \n \n Completing all relevant vehicle and paperwork checks \n \n Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time \n Requirements\n \n \n Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence \n \n Maximum 6 points on your licence \n \n 12 months' minimum C+E experience preferred , although candidates with less experience may be considered \n \n Good knowledge of drivers' hours and working time regulations \n \n Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach \n \n Comfortable working regular night shifts \n What We Offer\n \n \n Approximately 60 hours per week \n \n Consistent Monday to Friday night work \n \n 18:30 - 06:30 shift pattern \n \n Temporary-to-permanent opportunity \n \n £42,000 annual salary \n \n Regular trunking route between Newhaven and Burton upon Trent \n \n If you're an experienced Class 1 (C+E) driver looking for consistent Monday to Friday night work with the opportunity to become permanent, we'd be keen to hear from you.
