We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing commercial vehicle engineering business based in Leyland. Our client is a recognised specialist in the maintenance, servicing and repair of municipal and refuse collection vehicles, providing high-quality engineering solutions to customers across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join a professional workshop, offering 18.00 - 21.00 per hour, a Monday to Friday day shift, regular overtime paid at time and a half, and excellent long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic faults on refuse collection vehicles.
- Service and replace hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses and associated components.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
- Complete mechanical repairs where required.
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation.
