HGV Technician – Night Shift
Salary: £51,223 per annum
Shifts: 4 on / 4 off, 6:00pm – 6:00am
Location: Trafford Park
The Role
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties, including:
- Maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles and trailers.
- Fault diagnosis, testing, and implementing permanent repairs.
- Completing all necessary paperwork relating to warranty, contract, and retail work.
- Conducting preventative maintenance to reduce unnecessary customer costs.
- Undertaking other reasonable tasks as instructed by management.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles.
- A methodical, organised approach to problem-solving with a strong attention to detail.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge and, ideally, manufacturer training.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
