HGV Technician – Night Shift Salary: £51,223 per annum Shifts: 4 on / 4 off, 6:00pm – 6:00am Location: Trafford Park We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and motivated HGV Technician to join their Service Department based in Trafford Park. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional seeking a stable, long-term role within a reputable organisation. The Role Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties, including: * Maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles and trailers. * Fault diagnosis, testing, and implementing permanent repairs. * Completing all necessary paperwork relating to warranty, contract, and retail work. * Conducting preventative maintenance to reduce unnecessary customer costs. * Undertaking other reasonable tasks as instructed by management. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have: * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent). * Proven experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles. * A methodical, organised approach to problem-solving with a strong attention to detail. * Up-to-date technical knowledge and, ideally, manufacturer training. * Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential). * Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
