HGV Technician - Day Shift

Job Description HGV Technician\n Location: Coventry Hours: 06:00 - 16:00, Monday - Friday Pay: Up to £21.70 per hour + Overtime at time 1/2 \n We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and supportive workshop team based in Coventry. \n \n Strong earning potential - up to £21.70 per hour \n Time and a half on overtime \n Double time available on Sundays \n Long-term stability with an established and growing business \n Ongoing training and development , including the opportunity to gain IRTEC \n Clear opportunities for long-term career development \n Join a business experiencing continued growth and investment \n Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 16:00 \n The Role\n As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in keeping a busy commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and roadworthy. \n \n Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs \n Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults \n Working on engines, gearboxes and other complex vehicle systems \n Carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs \n Completing accurate maintenance records and documentation \n Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements \n Working closely with the wider workshop team to maintain fleet efficiency \n Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians where required \n About You\n We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance. \n You will ideally have: \n \n NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance \n Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic \n Strong knowledge of HGV mechanical, electrical and diagnostic systems \n Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills \n A high level of attention to detail \n The ability to work independently and as part of a team \n A full driving licence - HGV licence preferred but not essential \n Your own tools \n \n IRTEC qualification is highly desirable , although training and support towards achieving IRTEC will be available for the right candidate. n \n Up to £21.70 per hour \n Overtime paid at time and a half \n Optional Sunday overtime paid at double time \n 06:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday \n Excellent earning potential through overtime \n No late shifts, giving you your evenings back \n Death in Service cover \n Pension scheme with Aviva \n Cycle-to-work scheme \n Technology purchase scheme \n Ongoing training and professional development \n Supportive and friendly workshop environment \n Long-term stability with an established employer \n \n If you are interested, please apply today. \
