Heavy Plant Fitter – Full Time Position

Location: Devizes

Salary: £37,000 – £45,000 OTE (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shifts (40 hours per week)

Overtime: Paid at Time & ½

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join a growing environmental business that is expanding due to continued success. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of a range of heavy plant machinery, ensuring equipment is kept safe, reliable, and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy plant equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
  • Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently
  • Maintain accurate service records and paperwork
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or similar role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy plant machinery
  • Ability to fault find and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
