Location: Coventry Hours: 06:00 - 16:00, Monday - Friday Pay: Up to £21.70 per hour + Overtime at time 1/2
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and supportive workshop team based in Coventry.

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in keeping a busy commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and roadworthy.
Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Working on engines, gearboxes and other complex vehicle systems
Carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs
Completing accurate maintenance records and documentation
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
Working closely with the wider workshop team to maintain fleet efficiency
Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians where required
About You
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician with a strong technical background and a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance.
You will ideally have:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
Strong knowledge of HGV mechanical, electrical and diagnostic systems
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
A high level of attention to detail
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A full driving licence - HGV licence preferred but not essential
Your own tools
IRTEC qualification is highly desirable , although training and support towards achieving IRTEC will be available for the right candidate. n
Up to £21.70 per hour
Overtime paid at time and a half
Optional Sunday overtime paid at double time
06:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday
