The Role
We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy transport operation in Corby. You will be responsible for planning across a large, dynamic fleet, ensuring efficient nationwide deliveries. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone confident in handling multi-drop operations, full loads and part loads, and adapting plans in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan daily schedules to maximise efficiency and meet delivery commitments
- Plan and schedule loads to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries
- Oversee driver performance and ensure compliance with working time and driver hours regulations
- Day planning for a fleet of approximately 90 vehicles
- Managing multi-drop and nationwide transport planning
- Liaising with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Dealing with contract fleet operations
- Monitoring service levels and responding to issues as they arise
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Transport Planner or similar role
- Strong understanding of transport costs and operational efficiency
- Experience with multi-drop and nationwide planning
- Ability to work under pressure in a time-critical environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong UK Geographical knowledge
