Immediate starts available for class 2 drivers - Monday to Friday 0600-1600 daily. Temp to perm role. OT available. Weekly pay £13.80 PPH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Secure loads properly to ensure safe transport including sheeting/netting etc.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects using company electronic process in line with the VOSA Guide to Road Worthiness.
- Deliver empty skips/roro to customer locations and collect filled skips/roro for return to the depot/third party for disposal.
- Exchange full skips/roros with empty ones as required.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring skips/roros are placed and collected as requested.
- Respond to on-site challenges, including space limitations or access issues.
- Report missed collections, delays, or customer complaints to the transport office immediately.
- Comply with company and customer health and safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and maintain correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Follow waste management regulations, including rules on what can and cannot be collected in skips/roros or overloaded skips/roros.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Full driving licence for the job role.
- Driver CPC Qualification.
- Digi Card.
- Good understanding of driving regulations and WTD.
- Strong navigation skills and the ability to read maps or use GPS systems effectively (HGV specific).
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, always demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
