About the Company:

An established and growing Fire & Security company with over 15 years of experience is expanding following the recent acquisition of another business. Originally established within the fire sector, with a strong background in fire risk assessment, the company has continued to grow and now provides a wide range of fire and security solutions across Manchester and Lancashire. The business has experienced significant growth, achieving its entire previous year's sales figure by June this year, and is continuing to build its engineering team as part of its expansion. The company works across a variety of commercial environments, including healthcare and NHS sites, providing engineers with the opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting projects.

The Role:

We are looking for a Fire & Security Engineer to join the growing engineering team. The role would suit a multi-skilled engineer who is comfortable working across fire, CCTV, access control and intruder systems, although engineers who are stronger in either fire or security will also be considered. You will be responsible for carrying out installations, remedial works, reactive call-outs, servicing and general maintenance across customer sites throughout Manchester and Lancashire. The company is particularly interested in engineers who are keen to continue learning and developing their skills. If you are a loyal and committed engineer who wants to build a long-term career, there is excellent support available for further training and qualifications.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Fire & Security is essential
  • Experience within the Fire & Security industry
  • Experience carrying out installations, remedials and call-outs
  • Multi-skilled experience across Fire, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder is advantageous
  • Engineers with a strong fire or security bias will also be considered
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A positive attitude towards learning and developing new skills
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach when working with customers

Training & Development:

The company strongly believes in investing in its engineers and supporting long-term career development. Depending on your experience and career goals, the business can support further education, including college courses and FIA qualifications. This makes the role particularly well suited to engineers who are 1-2 years out of college and are looking for an opportunity where they can continue developing their technical knowledge and gain valuable hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.

Working Area & Travel:

The majority of work will be across Manchester and Lancashire, with sites generally within approximately 45 minutes of Manchester. Travel time is included within the working day. Occasional travel further afield may be required, and where this is necessary, additional travel arrangements and payment will be discussed.

Why Join?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire & Security Engineer who wants to join a growing company that genuinely invests in its people. Whether you're an experienced multi-skilled engineer or a recently qualified engineer looking to develop your career, the company offers the training, support and variety of work needed to build your skills and progress within the industry.
