HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Trunk Driver Wanted!

Location: Newhaven, East Sussex, BN9 0AB
Pay: £13.46 per hour
Hours: Approximately 60 hours per week
Shift: Monday to Friday, 18:30 06:30
Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent
Permanent Salary: £42,000 per year.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Trunk Driver to join our client's operation in Newhaven.

The Role

This is a regular Monday to Friday night trunking role, operating between Newhaven and Burton upon Trent .

Your typical duties will include:

• Starting at the Newhaven depot

• Driving to Burton upon Trent

• Unloading a double-decker trailer

• Loading the vehicle

• Returning back to Newhaven

• Completing all relevant vehicle and paperwork checks

• Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

• Maximum 6 points on your licence

• 12 months' minimum C+E experience preferred , although candidates with less experience may be considered

• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and working time regulations

• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach

• Comfortable working regular night shifts
