Auto Electrician Location: Stonehouse Rate: Up to £20 per hour Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am start, overtime at Time and a Half We are recruiting an experienced Auto Electrician to work with a leading provider of advanced vehicle solutions in Stonehouse. This is a hands-on role working across a diverse fleet, focusing on diagnosing, repairing, and installing vehicle electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Diagnose electrical faults and repair wiring systems using advanced diagnostic tools. * Repair and replace faulty wiring, lighting, sensors, and control systems. * Install and configure new electrical systems, including lighting, CANbus components, CCTV, weighing systems, and telematics. * Install and test electrical components and wiring harnesses in vehicles. * Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and engineering instructions. * Conduct end-of-line testing and commissioning of electrical systems. * Collaborate with engineering, mechanical, and fabrication teams to ensure high-quality vehicle builds. * Maintain accurate job records, inspection sheets, and reports. * Follow all relevant safety standards and procedures. Requirements: * Qualified Auto Electrician with proven experience in automotive electrical systems. * Proficient in modern diagnostic tools and electrical schematics. * Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. * Relevant certifications (e.g., City & Guilds) desirable. * Self-motivated and committed to safety and quality workmanship.
