Interim Technology Director – Global Solutions & Delivery
Location: UK (Hybrid) | Contract: Initial 6 months, potential extension

We are partnering with a leading international organisation to appoint an experienced Interim Technology Director to provide senior leadership across a substantial global technology solutions function.
This is a high-profile appointment, working closely with the CTO and wider executive leadership team, with responsibility for overseeing a diverse portfolio of enterprise and client-facing technology solutions, ensuring delivery momentum, operational excellence and strong stakeholder engagement.
The organisation operates within a complex, highly collaborative environment, with technology playing a critical role in enabling business performance, enhancing client experiences and supporting innovation, including the adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
We are looking for a commercially minded, delivery-focused technology leader who can quickly establish credibility, lead experienced technical teams and provide the oversight and direction needed to maintain performance across an established portfolio.
The Opportunity
You will take leadership responsibility across several technology disciplines, including Software Engineering, Technology Business Partnering, Solutions Delivery, Configuration, Automation and Quality Assurance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Technology Leadership: Provide direction and leadership across a multidisciplinary, internationally operating technology function, supporting senior managers and their teams.
- Delivery & Portfolio Oversight: Maintain momentum across an established portfolio of technology initiatives, ensuring priorities, dependencies, risks and delivery commitments are effectively managed.
- Business & Client-Facing Solutions: Oversee the delivery and ongoing evolution of enterprise and client-facing technology products, platforms and services.
- Executive Stakeholder Management: Partner with senior business leaders, external clients and technology stakeholders, translating complex requirements into practical, commercially viable solutions.
- Technology Innovation & AI: Support ongoing initiatives involving AI, automation, low-code solutions and emerging technologies, ensuring innovation translates into tangible business outcomes.
- Operational & Commercial Management: Maintain appropriate governance, delivery standards, supplier performance and commercial oversight across technology services.
- People Leadership: Develop and support established technical leadership teams, maintaining engagement, accountability and continuity across the function.
About You
We are interested in experienced interim technology leaders who can demonstrate:
- A strong track record operating as a Technology Director, IT Director, CIO, Head of Technology Solutions or equivalent senior technology leader.
- Significant experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams across software engineering, applications, business solutions and technology delivery.
- Experience overseeing complex portfolios of internal enterprise technology and externally facing customer or client solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to challenge business requirements, evaluate technical solutions and balance delivery priorities.
- Experience working within professional services, consulting, partnership-led or similarly complex B2B environments would be particularly advantageous.
- Broad technical understanding across enterprise applications, cloud technologies, software engineering, automation and emerging AI capabilities.
- Proven experience managing senior stakeholders, strategic delivery partners and geographically distributed teams.
- The ability to enter an established environment, quickly understand the landscape and provide pragmatic leadership while maintaining delivery continuity.
