Location: remote. Candidates must be based in the UK.
Contract Duration: This is a full-time consultancy engagement for an initial period of three months, with the potential for extension, subject to business requirements. The engagement is based on a flexible 40-hour working week, worked Monday to Friday. The specific working pattern will be agreed to meet business and client requirements.
Job Purpose
The Senior Consultant role is a customer-facing, hands‑on role that requires demonstrable expertise in job architecture design (e.g. job families, levelling structures, titling). You will own the full customer delivery lifecycle: scoping the engagement, interpreting customer data, running discovery with customer stakeholders, making and defending design decisions, and overseeing AI-generated profile content through to delivery‑ready quality. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Customer Success to ensure a smooth path to customer delivery, platform adoption and measurable outcomes.
As a Senior Consultant within our Customer Success team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading end-to-end job architecture projects from discovery through design, solution build and delivery, acting as the consulting lead to customers.
- Working closely with the Senior Project Manager to align delivery plans and milestones for customer engagements.
- Using our methodology to analyse and interpret customer data (e.g. organisational structure, job descriptions, headcount) and translate this into job architecture design decisions.
- Leading on the design and delivery of customer discovery, including tailoring content and facilitating workshops to surface requirements to feed into clear, defensible architecture decisions.
- Synthesising discovery outputs, data analysis and subject‑matter expertise into architecture designs that are fit‑for‑purpose and hold up against a rigorous job architecture methodology.
- Installing levelling structures using our levelling framework: evaluating customer roles, calibrating boundaries and ensuring consistent, defensible level definitions across the architecture.
- Presenting architecture designs and recommendations to senior customer stakeholders, including articulating the rationale behind design decisions and handling challenge with confidence.
- Overseeing AI content generation and skills assignment by defining inputs and requirements, and quality‑assuring outputs for accuracy and alignment with customer‑specific frameworks and requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrable hands‑on experience designing or significantly contributing to job architectures across elements including job families, levelling structures, titling, skills frameworks and role content.
- Experience leading workshops and facilitating sessions with HR and senior stakeholders, with the ability to hold a room, manage conflicting inputs, and reach defensible decisions.
- Experience scoping, planning and leading customer engagements or internal HR transformation projects.
- Thorough knowledge of how job architecture links to related processes (e.g. pay equity) with a proven ability to advise customers directly on how design choices achieve their goals and impact downstream HR processes.
- Comprehensive understanding of job evaluation and its uses (e.g. levelling, pay equity, benchmarking, career frameworks), with substantial hands‑on experience applying at least one recognised methodology.
- Great customer and stakeholder management skills – confident leading senior customer relationships, understanding customers’ needs and communicating solutions and recommendations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complexity and translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights.
- Excellent analytical and Excel skills, with confidence in (and enthusiasm for) using AI tools.
You will also have:
- A proactive, self‑starter mindset, comfortable working at pace and with ambiguity, and able to iterate quickly to keep delivery on track.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills to convey complex decisions and outcomes simply.
- Excitement about HR technology and AI and about joining a fast‑growth start‑up where everything is constantly evolving.
