AgileSource are seeking an experienced Operating Model Consultant / Operating Model Analyst to support a range of digital transformation, service modernisation, automation, and AI-enabled change initiatives.
Contract Type: Outside IR35
Duration: Initial 3 months with potential extension up to 12 months
Location: Primarily remote with occasional workshops in London and Northern England
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance is mandatory. Candidates must hold current, live SC clearance at the point of application. Applications from candidates with lapsed, expired, or previously held SC clearance cannot be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current-state operating models across technology, digital, and enterprise service functions.
- Identify organisational, process, governance, capability, and service delivery gaps.
- Design practical future-state operating models aligned to business and technology strategy.
- Develop service delivery structures, operating frameworks, governance models, and performance measures.
- Create capability maps, process architectures, service models, and organisational design artefacts.
- Support operating model implementation activities, including transition planning, governance setup, process embedding, and capability uplift.
- Contribute to digital, technology, automation, and AI strategy initiatives.
- Produce business cases, cost-benefit assessments, and benefits realisation frameworks.
- Develop strategic roadmaps, prioritisation frameworks, and implementation plans.
- Conduct solution assessments, including AI and non-AI transformation options.
- Work closely with senior business, operational, technology, and supplier stakeholders.
- Support change impact assessments across people, processes, technology, and governance.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience designing and implementing Target Operating Models (TOMs).
- Strong background in operating model transformation within technology, digital, shared services, ITSM, enterprise services, or business transformation environments.
- Experience assessing current-state organisations and defining future-state operating models.
- Demonstrable experience in organisational design, governance design, capability modelling, and service design.
- Experience developing digital transformation, technology transformation, or operational improvement strategies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience, including facilitating workshops with senior leadership teams.
- Experience producing business cases and benefits realisation plans.
- Strong understanding of transformation delivery from strategy through implementation.
- Experience working within consulting, advisory, transformation, or change-heavy environments.
- Active SC Clearance.
Desirable Experience
- AI strategy, AI operating models, or intelligent automation programmes.
- Digital strategy and enterprise transformation consulting.
- Service management transformation and enterprise service management platforms.
- Business Architecture or Enterprise Architecture experience.
- Supplier strategy, sourcing models, and contract alignment.
- Public sector, government, defence, regulated industry, or large enterprise transformation experience.
