Maintenance Technician – Mechanical Bias Location: Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 07:50–16:45; Manufacturing / Engineering
Are you an experienced mechanical technician looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment? Join us at our Skelmersdale production site as a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias) and play a key role in supporting and enhancing plant performance, equipment reliability, and process efficiency.
Improve overall reliability and performance of equipment, systems, and processes
Provide technical support to production lines to minimize defects and optimize output
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
Track, report, and act on process improvement data
Conduct in-line quality checks and maintain product integrity
Analyse data to diagnose faults and implement long-term solutions
Follow Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods for process monitoring
Support and mentor team members with technical training and guidance
OND or apprentice-trained in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven experience in a technical production support or maintenance role
Proficiency in workshop skills: turning, milling, welding
Fault-finding experience in mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
Willingness to work shifts if required on occasion
