Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist to support the sales team by providing clinical expertise, training, and education on the company’s consumable products within NHS hospitals and private healthcare facilities. This role requires a blend of clinical knowledge and commercial acumen, ensuring customers receive the highest level of support while driving product adoption and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Support & Training
- Provide hands-on clinical training and education to NHS staff, including nurses, consultants, and procurement teams, ensuring optimal product usage.
- Act as the clinical expert for the company’s consumable products, offering guidance on best practices and compliance with hospital protocols.
- Deliver product demonstrations and in-service training in both individual and group settings.
- Work closely with key hospital stakeholders to support evaluations, trials, and conversions of new products.
- Sales Team Support & Business Development
- Partner with the sales team to provide clinical credibility and product knowledge, supporting commercial discussions with key decision-makers.
- Identify new opportunities for product adoption by leveraging clinical insights and understanding hospital purchasing dynamics.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent the company and stay updated on market trends.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NHS clinical teams, hospital procurement, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Act as a bridge between clinical teams and sales teams, ensuring customer needs are met with high-quality solutions.
- Provide feedback from the field to inform product development, marketing strategies, and sales initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Clinical background within the NHS (e.g., Nurse, ODP, Physiotherapist, or other relevant roles) combined with commercial experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in a Clinical Specialist, Product Specialist, or Sales Support role within the medical device sector.
- Strong training and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and influence healthcare professionals at all levels.
- Excellent understanding of NHS hospital environments, including procurement processes and decision-making structures.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and support sales opportunities.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role, managing time and priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the South UK region to support customers and sales teams.
- Full UK driving license.

- Previous experience in medical consumables, wound care, infection control, critical care, or theatre-based products.
